Season 1979/80.

ThIS HARMONY ROW team lost the first game of the season. HOWEVER THEY WENT ONTO WIN EACH OF THEIR next 65 games. The trophy haul for that season included: The Scottish Cup; the Renfrewshire cup and all 8 trophies from the Paisley district under-21s league.

They played the entire season using only 15 players who were as follows:

  • Goalkeepers: Willie Harvey; Jim Heaps.

  • Defenders: Alan Smith; Archie Strachan; Davie Simpson; Bobby Kerr (captain); Jack Ross.

  • Midfielders: Fraser Innes; Michael Haughey; Tom Crawford; Davie Cook; Andy Baird.

  • Forwards: Michael Jamieson; Franny Boyle; Stuart Gordon

A huge thank you to Dr Bobby Gordon for these photographs. Dr Bobby Gordon joined Harmony Row as a player aged 12 in 1957. He played for 4 years until 1961 when he broke his leg. Bobby then went on to coach Harmony Row between the years of 1961 and 1985.

He is a true great in the History of Harmony Row.
